In daily life, sometimes the power adapter is forgotten, lost or broken. Or is it often used to charge someone else’s power adapter, is there any harm to the computer? How to choose the laptop charger correctly?
*V (voltage) x A (current) = W (watt)
*The original power adapter’s label usually indicates its important usage parameter information: manufacturer, model, voltage and current, etc. The bottom of the notebook will also be marked with some conventional power input and output specifications.
First look at the parameter information on the adapter and the computer. The power adapter output voltage is the same or similar to the notebook. If the input voltage marked on your laptop is 20V, then the rated output voltage of the selected power adapter should not exceed 20V, which is equal to or slightly less than 20V. It can be lower than 5-10% if you It is not acceptable to use a 24V power adapter. The voltage difference between the two is large, which may damage the computer.
The current output of the transformer is larger than the equipment: it can be used, the power is high, the output is more sufficient, the power supply is stable, and the transformer is not prone to overheating when in use.
The rated output current of the selected power adapter must never be lower than the notebook’s rated input current. If the maximum input current displayed on your computer is 3.36A, then you should not buy less than the current when purchasing the power adapter. You should purchase a power adapter greater than or equal to 3.36A. The principle is not small, it can only be large, but it is not as big as possible, because under the premise of the same voltage, the larger the output current is, the larger its rated power is. The higher the customer power is, we understand it. This will result in wasted electricity, and its weight will be significantly less than the rated power, so just choose a bigger one, of course, if you find just right, then it is better.
The size of the interface of the power adapter should match the jack of the notebook device. Look at the model of the original laptop. The connector size, length, inner diameter, outer diameter and pin diameter of the connector of the charger may be different. Specific interface parameters must be consulted by professionals.
The selected power adapter has the same polarity as the plug socket of the computer and cannot be reversed. For example, if the polarity marked on your computer is positive or negative, you should carefully observe the sign when purchasing the power adapter. You should not neglect it. As long as the polarities of the two are the same, you can use it.
